President Obama welcomes our 2016 Chicago World Series to the White house, January 16, 2017.  President Obama an openly Chicago Whitesox fan for life took this day, the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday celebration, to honor a team that fought hard in unity to achieve a victory long out of reach for 108 years.  President Obama’s great humor brought smiles to the faces of the Chicago Cubs, press core and the over 4000 you tube watchers.  This moment as President Obama recounted the play-by-play of the win sent me back to the moment of happy anxiety awaiting the moment that we all believed when Rizzo tossed the last ball of his career to seal the win.  It was intense.  Today , joy is the word.  Just looking at all these men in class photo form smiling.

You remember when you would day-dream about being the world series champs and being celebrated by the president.  You may have been in fourth grade, high school or college.  Although, it was a rare dream which always happened to someone else, today its official, The Chicago Cubs are no longer dreaming.  Our 2016 Chicago Cubs World Series Champions are the heroes of little kids in Chicago and all over the world.  The cool thing about the Cubs is they are not just heroes on the field, they also give back to others by volunteering over 1400 hours this past year. #FlyW

Republicans “Bum Rush” America with Vote-O-Rama Cabinet Hearings

Kathy Brocks, ACAW Editor, LUTG RADIO Host, Lyft/Uber Driver

Kathy Brocks, ACAW Editor, LUTG RADIO Host, Lyft/Uber Driver

by Kathy Brocks

Rachel Maddow of MSNBC pointed out an aggressive media campaign concocted by President Elect Donald Trump and the Republican party in how they chose to hold six Presidential Cabinet Confirmation hearings all on January 11, 2017.  Mitch McConnell called for a Vote-O-Rama on January 11, 2017, where votes are taken on a large number of bills simultaneously which also includes the repeal of the Healthcare act also known as Obama care.
President Elect Donald Trump conveniently decided to hold first press conference on January 11, 2017,  seven months since last press conference in  July of 2016 when Donald Trump invited Russia to find the Hillary Clinton’s lost emails.

The streets call this”Bum Rushing”, although normally “Bum Rushing” is a group of people coming at one person.  But this :”Bum Rush is our elected officials “Bum Rushing” the American people they were elected to represent particularly those who did not vote for them.  It’s hard to oppose one issue when many are thrown at you all at once.

This “Bum Rush” begins on January 10, 2017 with the controversial hearing of Jeff Sessions, former Attorney General who falsely claimed to have worked on civil rights cases.  Lawyers who worked the cases said no significant contributions by Jeff Sessions.  Sessions name was added to documents cause Sessions was the Attorney General at the time of filings. You can see this on the 01/05/2017 Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC.

January 10, 2017 is the same day President Barack Obama gives last farewell address to the nation from Chicago, Illinois, where President Barack Obama began his political career organizing communities with grass-roots door to door canvassing finding out the needs of the people and obtaining solutions.  This is a major event for mainstream media.  Democrats are to request to have confirmations spread out over a few days  for this six-pack of controversial nominees so that a full investigation can be conducted by republicans and democrats in a bipartisan effort. But since the last eight years has been a “Campaign of No”, it’s not likely that the democratic party requests will be honored.

Rachel Maddow is righteously outraged at this aggressive media campaign strategy Bum Rush.  This type of strategy makes it virtually impossible for major media outlets to cover every confirmation because it’s all happening at the same time and main media will focus on Donald Trump, President Elect.  This seems to be another attempt to control what America is allowed to hear and see.  President Elect Donald Trump often calls media, the enemy. But the President Elect appears to be the enemy of himself and the people.  Trump is a savant at controlling what gets talked about concerning his desires.  Trump has discounted truths continuously by saying things like it never happened or the media lies as he did during the 2016 Presidential Campaign.  So, in order to get things right and cover it all, Podcastors, you are needed at the confirmation hearings to record with video and audio.  Get interviews from the politicians investigating the nominees for Donald Trump’s Presidential Cabinet.  Interview the nominees.

This is the list of names for the January 10th and January 11, 2017  Presidential Cabinet hearings:

Artists: How to help fans find your shows

Good Example of making it super easy for fans to attend shows, http://ayesanford.com/

Good Example of making it super easy for fans to attend shows.  Aye Sanford shows date, location and when you click on it you can get more details, http://ayesanford.com/

The best way to get more fans, new fan and people to show up for your performances is to make your events super easy to find.  The first step is to create a website.  You can do this for Free via Wix.com .  The is the one I, Kathy Brocks of LUTG RADIO, use so if there are others then by all means use them after doing your research of the company to make sure they intend on sticking around for a while.  Next create a “show or event” page that lets everyone know about your next upcoming show name, location, cost and how to purchase tickets or whether its free.

Then, tell readers, googlers, social media darlings a little something about you and your style of music.  Tell people where they can buy your music via digital download or CD.  You also, want to push your SWAG or Artist t-shirts and other apparel.  Each time you do a show upload a 30 second or 2 minute clip of the show to engage people or post it to your social media pages.  Engage fans by asking questions on social media.  Ask them about their favorite song, vacation, inspiration and share yours.  Do not tell it all, just chat briefly for a few minutes daily or weekly.

Remember, to not seek to find fault.  Fans sometimes get overly excited when meeting a talented artist such as yourself.  Just remind them, success is a daily process of choices and we are all just people working on making a living at what we love the most, music and performing.  Let fans know you love them like a sister or brother.  Do not encourage romance.  Some fans got enough fantasy going on in their own heads already.  Also, pray for your fans daily.  It is a blessing to their lives.  Its feels good to know someone is praying for you.  Keep this in mind as you go about grinding and working hard to achieve your dreams of reaching the masses with the gospel through music and artistic performances.  Included are screenshots of artists that do a good job helping fans to attend their next performance.

I play music and performances on air for free currently.  The main requirement is be a Christian artist and provide clean material.  Tae Spears is an example of why LUTG RADIO offers free airplay for artists.  Check out 16 Bars,

Our Jan is with Jesus-Jan Crouch of TBN died 05/31/2016

Jan Crouch passed away May 31, 2016 from complications associated with a severe stroke several months earlier.  Jan born Janice Wendell Crouch born in 1938.  Jan was loved by many people all around the world for her generous heart and Big colorful hair. Jan is also known for bringing toys to kids in Haiti via the Smile of Child humanitarian organization which also provides medical supplies, food and clothes to impoverished families around the world.  Jan turned the Holy Land amusement park  into a first-rate vacation destination.  Jan’s dedication to promoting the gospel garnered multiple awards for excellence in service and quality.  Jan’s heart was one of the biggest.  You can see previous interviews on Trinity Broadcast Network where both Jan and Paul interview Pastors, Ministers, Musicians getting these learned, experienced and anointed men and women of God to break down into simple words how they overcome struggles in the hope that the testimonies will bless all watching.  There were no shortage of testimonies or jokes about Jan’s Big hair.  She took the jokes in stride.  Some days the hair would grow bigger and other days smaller.  The bigger the hair the bigger Jan’s smile.  Jan captured the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.  Jan was blessed to have a family  that supported the vision of TBN.  Jan leaves her sons, Paul Jr. (Brenda-wife) and Matthew (Laurie-wife); a sister, Dorothy Casoria; grandchildren; and one great-grandchild to carry on the vision of God for Trinity Broadcast Network.

Tae Spears is a Christian, that happens to be a spoken word artist and very good at it.  Tae Spears is a little shy when you first meet him.  But when you give Tae a microphone all the nerves roll off like rain off an umbrella.  Tae Spears is the new sunshine to Christian Rap and Hip-Hop as a whole.  Tae’s music focuses on positive images for girls, young women and boys who grow up to be men.

Tae’s lyrics allows you to think about how you think about yourself, your identity.  Tae’s music confirms its okay to be a Christian and encourages listeners to accept their identity is in the love of Jesus.  One song called April gives a positive view of women.  This is an opposite view of what a woman is portrayed as in most rap songs, slut-like.  It is refreshing to hear a man tell females they are beautiful without showing their private parts.   The track You don’t know, Gospel, Right here are all inspiring and evokes bouncing to the lyrics as well the beats.  You can find Tae Spears on Audio Mack and Facebook.   You can hear Tae Spears music daily on WKKP’s LUTG RADIO .
