Our Jan is with Jesus-Jan Crouch of TBN died 05/31/2016

Jan Crouch passed away May 31, 2016 from complications associated with a severe stroke several months earlier.  Jan born Janice Wendell Crouch born in 1938.  Jan was loved by many people all around the world for her generous heart and Big colorful hair. Jan is also known for bringing toys to kids in Haiti via the Smile of Child humanitarian organization which also provides medical supplies, food and clothes to impoverished families around the world.  Jan turned the Holy Land amusement park  into a first-rate vacation destination.  Jan’s dedication to promoting the gospel garnered multiple awards for excellence in service and quality.  Jan’s heart was one of the biggest.  You can see previous interviews on Trinity Broadcast Network where both Jan and Paul interview Pastors, Ministers, Musicians getting these learned, experienced and anointed men and women of God to break down into simple words how they overcome struggles in the hope that the testimonies will bless all watching.  There were no shortage of testimonies or jokes about Jan’s Big hair.  She took the jokes in stride.  Some days the hair would grow bigger and other days smaller.  The bigger the hair the bigger Jan’s smile.  Jan captured the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.  Jan was blessed to have a family  that supported the vision of TBN.  Jan leaves her sons, Paul Jr. (Brenda-wife) and Matthew (Laurie-wife); a sister, Dorothy Casoria; grandchildren; and one great-grandchild to carry on the vision of God for Trinity Broadcast Network.

October 22, 2015 Monument of Faith Church and the Henton family announced Apostle Richard D. Henton died.  Although we will miss Apostle Henton, rejoice.  Rejoice because those that are in Christ Jesus live an eternity with Christ Jesus after their body passes away.   While we are given 120 years as a maximum, not every body lasts that long.  But to know that Jesus welcomed Apostle Henton home into heaven is a great time to praise and thank God for the time that this world got to experience Apostle Henton.  Now is the time to carry on the love actions of Apostle Henton by loving God with all our hearts, mind, soul, strength and by taking the gospel into all the world.  This is the video link of Apostle Richard Henton and his son John Henton talking about reaching out to the communities served.

Tears are for a short season.  Apostle Henton’s legacy is to be remembered as a man who loved and trusted Jesus; a man who spoke God’s Word with fervor.  God lends us his breath for a short time and expects us to use it to glorify Him.  Its more than safe to say Apostle Henton glorified God.

John Henton and the Henton family thanked everyone for their prayers and asked for continued prayers, ” We, the Henton family, would like to thank everyone who has shown support to us in this time of transitional celebration. We ask that you continue to send prayers our way and that you allow us a small amount of time to make all arrangements final. We will keep everyone informed on dates and schedules to the Home-going of this Mighty Man Of God. Know that we love you all very much and that we appreciate every one of you. Keep checking on this page for updates.”

Apostle Henton’s funeral is October 31, 2015 at 10 a.m., House of Hope, 752 E. 114th, Chicago, Illinois.  This is also where Pastor Meeks, Salem Baptist church, holds services.  The viewing of Apostle Henton is Friday October 30, 2015, 10 a.m to 7 p.m at the Monument of Faith Church, 2750 West Columbus Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60652.  The service will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

War Room Movie Review

ACAW Media solicited an opinion from a movie goer after she had seen the movie War Room and this is what she had to say:

“The movie “War Room” opened in theaters today and it is a “Devine” intervention.  I laughed. I cried.  It jumps immediately into the action of the lives of a married couple. There’s something for the faithful, unfaithful, men, women  young and old.  The movie addresses real life issues. It had to have been based on someone’s life (mine perhaps). It transitions well and remains entertaining throughout the movie. War Room was absolutely amazing.  I highly recommend it.  Believers and non-believers are in for a treat.
-Karen W.”

Now we know the faith movies with good characters is possible.  If people can not see themselves in the movie you know its a flop regardless of numbers.  But so far War Room is a movie people can relate.
